Rasa News Agency Reports – In a meeting with the members of the youth researchers club and the elites of the Islamic Free University, Ayatollah Nasir Makarim Shirazi considered the youth generation as the assets of the country and said: “The main assets of a country are not resources and tools but the human resources.”
The jurist mentioned Japan as an example for his claim and stressed out that there are so many young talents in the Islamic Republic.
He then emphasized that if we remain underdeveloped in the scientific fields, we will definitely remain underdeveloped in politics, economics and culture.
The ayatollah also mentioned the wests allegations regarding Iran’s nuclear program and said: “the west doesn’t want other countries to obtain this peaceful technology. They don’t have any problem with the atomic bomb.”
In the another part of his speech, Ayatollah Makarim declared: “We are so glad that the imposed sanctions turned into great opportunities and thanks to the elites we have been able to advance in different scientific fields and the enemy is pretty much shocked.”
Considering the miracle of knowledge as one of the miracles of the great prophet of God, he said: “At that region and in such situation that no one was talking about science and advancement, there was such amazing evolution that the Islamic scientists shined in the world and Muslims were the [only] exporters of science to the whole world.”
He indicated that every single scientific progress made by the Islamic Republic of Iran will promote the holy religion of Islam and added: “Fortunately, with all the progresses we have achieved, we have been able to prove to the world that religion can have plans for every aspects [of life].”
At the end of his speech, the prominent professor of the seminary of Qom insisted that if the scientific advancements don’t combine with morality and faith, they can cause misery and said: “the main reason for the miseries of the world is lack of faith and spiritual motivation not the lack of science and knowledge.”
