Shahrekord Friday Prayer Leader:‎
Hujjat al-Islam Nekounam stated that the holding of the “Compassion and Empathy” military ‎exercises in the country is the second step against the fight against the Coronavirus in Iran ‎and said, “We must all enter the battlefield to reduce harms.”‎

RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Ali Nekounam issued his weekly statement via the internet ‎in place of the cancelled Friday prayer sermon to the people of Shahrekord.‎

Friday prayers have been cancelled in Shahrekord and many other cities throughout Iran due ‎to the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) with the aim of preventing the spread of the ‎Coronavirus and maintaining the health of the people. ‎

The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Chaharmahal and ‎Bakhtiari province considered the observance of health and medical issues and the ‎implementation of the “social distancing” and vigilance as the first steps in the fight against ‎the vicious Coronavirus and said, “The holding the ‘Compassion and Empathy’ military ‎exercises at the request of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah ‎Khamenei] is the second step in confronting the Coronavirus in order to help those who have ‎suffered financial, emotional and psychological damage during this period.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam Nekounam also referred to April 17, the day of the commemoration of the ‎Day of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and said, “All organs of the army are ‎faithful, diligent, productive, inventive and technological and during this time, along with the ‎Basij and the IRGC, they were ready to serve the people and played a‏ ‏major role.”‎

His Eminence noted that the faces of the enemies have been well-revealed today and stated, ‎‎“The faces of the enemies of Islam, especially the United States, which is at the top of the ‎list, is well-defined and you can see that they have caused a disgrace and their ironed, null ‎and void faces have exposed the Coronavirus.” ‎

He also pointed to the holy month of Ramadhan and said, “God has given us grace and love ‎in another way during this month and He has even rewarded you for your breaths and your ‎sleep.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam Nekounam said, “Considering that due to the Coronavirus, it isn’t possible to ‎have public iftar ceremonies but it’s possible to prepare food and distribute it among the ‎poor and we must not neglect this.”‎
