Rasa News Agency Reports – In the death commemoration ceremony of one of the martyrs of the movement, the deputy secretary general of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, Sheikh Naeem Qasim said: “Today, Hezbollah is fighting in Syria to defend the axis of resistance and the purpose is not to help the interests of any country or group.”
“We are not fighting to defend the Bashar al-Assad government rather we fight for our own goals and ideologies.” He added.
He also indicated that the US, the Zionist regime and their supporters and allies, all try their bests to destroy Syria as one of the main axis of resistance .
Mentioning the overt and covert presence of all the arrogant countries in Syria, Sheikh Naeem Qasim said: “Hezbollah’s fighting in Syria is a fight against all the global tyrants and all those who have problem with the Islamic resistant.”
He claimed that the onslaughts against the resistance are not a recent issue and stressed out: “Hezbollah has experienced these pressures in the 33-day war and could gain victory against the Zionist regime despite all these onslaughts.”
The senior member of Hezbollah then criticized some of the Arab and western officials' double standards regarding Syria and said: “How comes that these countries show no reactions regarding the crimes of the armed insurgents against Shia Muslims and religious minorities but they always accuse us of [committing] crime and bloodshed.”
