Muslim in Sydney Australia yesterday commemorated the death anniversary of the late leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini.

Rasa News Agency Reports – The Annual Australian Imam Khomeini conference was held in South Western Sydney last night, (Saturday 1st June 2013). Where the Likes of such prominent Shia scholarsfrom around Sydney, including Sheikh Jafar Fathullah of the Imam Husain Islamic Centre, Sheikh Zaid AlSalami of the Nabi Akram Islamic Centre and Sheikh Nami Farhat, accompanied by the highly respected guest speaker Hajj Ali Khalfan congregated to form an edifying panel with the primarily focusof commemorating the great works of the revolutionist Imam Khomeini, on the eve of his death anniversary, almost twenty four years on.
 
Shias from all over Sydney, from diverse backgrounds gathered last night in remembrance of the amazing legacy left behind by Imam Khomeini, withSheikh Jafar Fathullah opened the panel with a recount of his personal experiences and memories of this history making individual. Hajj Ali Khalfan used Imam Khomeini’s methodology of self-rectification as a means to enlighten the audience, both young and old, of how this great mind viewed and tackled the issues in society, whilst Sheikh Zaid AlSalami recalled Imam Khomeini’s contribution to the Islamic Mysticism (Practical Irfan), followed by Sheikh NamiFarhat who concluded for the panel.
The night included clips throughout Imam Khomeini’s life and ended with a light dinner and refreshments. Indeed an enlightening night for all.
