Friday prayer leader of Najaf in an interview with Rasa
Rasa – Friday prayer leader praised the supreme leader as a complete role model resisting against tyranny and striving for freedom.
Sayed Qobanchi who is one of the leaders of the supreme Islamic Council of Iraq in talking about the growth of the followers of Ahlul Bayt said: “We are in a time that the path of Islam and the Islamic awakening is growing and the benefits of this growth have been plenty. The Islamic world has a great tendency towards the culture of Ahlul Bayt and the Islamic nation has reached the level of wanting freedom and overthrowing the dictators and oppressors.”
He said: “To want freedom and resist against tyranny is the path of the prophets and we can look at Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei as a complete role model in this respect.”
The Friday prayer leader of the holy city of Najaf in another part of his interview with Rasa News Agency discussed about the current political situation of Iraq and mentioned: “The Iraqi regime was made 10 years ago with all religious sects and tribes participating in forming it and the constitutional laws respect every sect and tribe in Iraq. The Iraqi regime was capable with the experience of the past it had to come out of this trial with its head held high.”
He continued saying: “Iraq always had threats and seditions against it and this is not new. We in the past 10 years have always confronted different type of threats and the enemies have tried a lot to negatively affect this regime but with the help of God the enemies kept on failing and we are now witnessing victories.”
Sayed Qobanchi who also is a teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Najaf said: “Iraq in the fields of security and services are facing a lot of problems which must be solved as soon as possible and the foundation for living a comfortable life should be made.”
