RNA – “The system of the United States is based on arrogance, domination and criminality and added that the US seeks to place the Middle East under its domination to the extent that the regions’ resources, particularly its oil and gas, are under its command,” Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi, a member of the Assembly of Experts told Rasa News Agency adding that the system of the United States is based on arrogance, domination and criminality.
“The US seeks to place the Middle East under its domination to the extent that the regions’ resources, particularly its oil and gas, are under its command,” Ayatollah Ka’bi reminded.
“Besides these goals, they also seek to place the region’s intellectual and human resources and its systems of government under its control,” the Iranian cleric said.
His Eminence said that the US in search of political, economic and cultural domination over Muslims in the Middle East and works to increase the strength of the Zionist regime.
“In contrast to this”, the member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said the goals of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region include defending the independence and freedom of the peoples of the region from the imperialist and tyrannous powers, to achieve progress and justice on the basis of democracy and to bring about the elimination of the Zionist regime occupying Palestine.
Ayatollah Ka’bi stated that the opposition to the Zionist regime has led to its weakening and regional countries, people and elites consider the United States as the Great Satan. “The US has become hated among the peoples of the region and the people have realized that allying with the US ultimately leads to a dead end,” he said.
He said that Iran seeks a policy of independence, freedom, justice, development and the modernization of the countries of region and a restoration of the Islamic ummah upon the basis of Islamic unity and brotherhood and peace and security in the region based on moral values and democracy.
His Eminence also noted the remarkable victory of the Islamic Resistance and of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, saying that their efforts led to the humiliating withdrawal of Israel from southern Lebanon, saying: “Hezbollah’s resistance during the 33-day 2006 Lebanon War, the resistance of the people of Gaza and the resistance of the people of Syria against the conspiracies of the US and its allies confirms the support the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region.”
“This policy is a strong barrier against the hegemonic powers, especially the US,” he added.
In reference to Syria, Ayatollah Ka’bi said that the Americans sought to change the regional equation and eliminate the Islamic Resistance within one or two months, but we have witnessed the Syrian people’s defence and resistance of their country for the past five years.
He said that the US and its allies have admitted their defeat in Syria and have called on Iran to participate in a conference to solving the crisis, which is considered as a great victory for Iran.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said that Iran’s foreign policy is based on Islamic law, wisdom, virtue, interest, resistance, dignity, defending the oppressed, the rejection of the domination and diplomacy.
