In his message to the Pope, President Hassan Rouhani said “anyone who takes steps in line with eradication of discrimination, violence and extremism and tries to administer justice and peace has moved according to the divine values.”
Referring to the ratification of Iran’s proposal for a world free of extremism and violence by a strong majority in the United Nations, the President voiced Iran’s readiness for taking practical steps towards promotion of peace and peaceful coexistence in the world.
In another message to world leaders President Rouhani expressed hope that 2015 to be the year of freedom, prosperity, tolerance, convergence and peace for all.
The Iranian president called on all people around the globe to cooperate to pave the way for a better world.
He congratulated the whole humanity on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ who was seeking for a free world full of peace.
