RNA - The office of the prominent Iraqi source of emulation, Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani denied on Sunday the accusation of some newspapers and Iraqi and Arabic news outlets that the Ayatollah has welcomed the participation of Iranian military commanders including Iran's QF commander Qasem Soleimani in military operations against the Islamic State.
The first to launch this information was Gulf newspapers and other news outlets that claimed the Ayatollah welcomes the cooperation of the Iraqi military with the Iranian military commander , Qasem Soleimani in battles against ISIS and does not consider it as an interference in Iraqi affairs. Local sources also published a letter claiming to be written by Ayatollah al-Sistani.
The website close to Ayatollah al-Sistani claimed that the news is "completely false".
"Sistani’s position from the use of brotherly and friendly countries in the fight against terrorism through Friday sermons in the holy city of Karbala is not new in this area and has been mentioned earlier." The statement adds.
