Thousands of people have staged nationwide demonstrations across Bahrain on the eve of the ninth anniversary of the popular uprising against the ruling Al Khalifah dynasty.

A senior Iraqi scholar emphasized that the elite youth must fulfill their national duties towards the country and prevent them from deviating by attending the demonstrations and taking serious care in awakening and increasing the insight of the people.
