Rasa News Agency reports - Ayatollah Sayyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri, the director of seminaries across Iran, spoke to a group of missionaries at Qom’s Grand Mosque (Masjid al-A’dham) who will be preaching during the upcoming holy month of Ramadhan. His Eminence advised the scholars and preachers to take the most of their God-given opportunities for missionary work during the blessed month.
He explained that we need to engage in jihad in the field of propagation of Islam. “The preachers of religion must heal the spirituality and souls of his congregation like a doctor who heals the sick. The preachers must work hard to guide the people towards the ‘straight path.’’
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri emphasized the continuing threats against Islam and Muslims, saying: “Today, we face many threats in the region and the world, yet we must take these threats and convert them into opportunities.”
He emphasized the threats against Islamic culture by the Western-promoted cultural invasion: “The enemies have made considerable investments in this arena. They target our youth and the beliefs and faith of our [Muslim] community.”
His Eminence explained that the main mission of the clergy is to increase religious missionary work in order to guide mankind, to answer their questions and doubts, and to impede the false preaching by the enemies of Islam, who seek to spread a false version of Islam in order to divide Muslims so they can do not threaten their interests in the region.
The tragic events in Iraq and Syria are an example of the obvious conspiracy to confront Islam and Muslims by the enemies: “The enemies kill Muslims by the hands of other Muslims with their plots [against Islamic unity]. Unfortunately, we are witnesses to the ongoing tragic fratricide in the Muslim world.”
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri expressed his support for the fatwa (edict) of jihad against the Takfiri terrorists and the “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)” which has been issued by the grand sources of emulation in Iraq: “The Islamic Seminary announces its support of the Shi’ite sources of emulation in Iraq.”
His Eminence emphasized: “We seminarians announce our disavowal from the actions of the ‘global arrogance’ and the Takfiris and we announce that the Islamic Seminary of Qom is awake and gives its support to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the sources of emulation and the Shi’ite religious authorities in Iraq.”
