Rasa News Agency reports – Today, at his jurisprudence class held at Masjid al-A’dham (Grand Mosque) in the holy city of Qom, Ayatollah Hosein Nouri-Hamadani told his students that Eid al-Maba’th is considered the greatest of the eids (festivals) of the Islamic calendar because it celebrates the day the Prophet Muhammad (S) was divinely commissioned to create a grand and powerful nation and spread the message of Islamic monotheism to the entire world.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani explained the principles of the dignity in Islam, saying: “One of the most important principles of dignity in Islam is faith, and the second is to act on the knowledge that one has gained. God will never dignify a nation or society which is ignorant.”
His Eminence explained other principles of dignity, saying: “Insight and reason are another two principles of dignity. Unity is the cause of dignity in Islam. There are many Quranic verses and traditions which explain [the importance of Muslim unity] and Muslims should implement these [divine commandments] to ensure their solidarity.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said that jihad is the fifth principle of dignity in Islam and explained it, saying: “Muslims must be strong and well-equipped so that the enemies cannot intimidate and terrorize them.”
“Today, alongside our faith and knowledge, our achievements in attaining proficiency in various defence technologies, such as nuclear and missile production, as well as our power and dignity, have frightened the enemies,” he added.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani stated that Islam does not accept passivity and inaction in the face of the enemies’ threats: “Dignity and humiliation are in the hands of God and we must not give into the foreigners’ demands in order to achieve dignity.”
False and untrue interpretations of Islam are the causes of the misguidance of some Muslims, His Eminence expressed: “The terrorism of the Takfiri group ‘The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant,’ which is active in Syria and Iraq, are due to the false interpretations of Islam that they accept. Their dangerous and brutal actions are due to them having gone far astray from the path of reason and logic.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani explained that no religion has as many enemies as Shi’ah Islam: “The Takfiris are afraid of the power of the Shi’ah. Thus, every day we must strive to increase our power and capabilities in various fields.”
“The propagation of Islamophobia, Shiaphobia, and Iranophobia are among the tricks of the global arrogance front, and it is of upmost importance that we be vigilant of the enemies’ plots,” he explained.
“Everyone should take steps to know how to promote and honour the spirit of Islam and the Ahlul-Bayt (A), in the appropriate time and circumstances,” His Eminence concluded.
