Rasa News Agency reports - Today, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad-Ali Alavi-Gorgani met with members of the 27th Division of the Prophet Muhammad (S) Army. He said “this army division played an important role in thwarting the plots of the enemies of the Islamic system during the sedition of 2009.”
He explained that the 27 Division values on the protection of the Islamic Revolution saying “those who work to protect and preserve of the Islamic system are given God’s grace.”
Regarding the importance of faith, Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani said: “the level of faith that the warriors of Islam had during the Islamic Revolution and during the Sacred Defense era was very high. Imam Khomeini (RA) said about them that ‘if these warriors were present at Karbala, they would have helped Imam Husayn (A).’“
Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani explained that the strong and sincere faith of the young revolutionaries brought victory over the superpowers during the Imposed War. During this war, Iran sacrificed everything it had to defeat the regime of Saddam at-Tikriti, which was supported by most of the powerful countries in the world, including the United States and most Arab nations who sought to extinguish the brand-new Islamic Revolution.
His Eminence explained that “man should know that this world is only temporary and only the hereafter is our permanent abode.”
Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani stated: “the security and freedom we have today are due to the blood sacrificed by the martyrs of the Imposed War. Thus, hence must guard their blood.”
He explained that we must not imitate the corrupt Western cultures. “The purpose of our revolution was to have independence and separate ourselves from the Western ways.”
His Eminence referred to Quranic verses wherein God explains the rights of women in Islam: “there are verses which clearly explain the exalted and important position of women in Islam. Our religion commands us to give them their rights. Anyone who does the smallest amount of good in the world will see its reward. This includes giving others their due rights.”
“God shows everyone the right path. Thus, everyone must obey the commands of God to attain divine bliss in this world and in the hereafter,” he concluded.
