Rasa News Agency reports - Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Sadeq Salehimanesh, the governor of the province of Qom spoke at the opening ceremony of a television studio at the Holy Mosque of Jamkaran. He said broadcasting live from such a holy site is "a double-edged sword."
"If live broadcasts from the Holy Mosque of Jamkaran have an effect on its viewers and good programs are broadcasted, it will be very valuable for the lovers of Imam al-Mahdi (AJ), but if not, then it would cause sadness among the people," Hujjat al-Islam Salehi said.
"Today, Qom is entering into a new arena with the opening of a studio at the Holy Mosque of Jamkaran which has been inaugurated after a difficult marathon. It also faces much competition from the various satellite channels available. Because of these satellite channels, this sort of channel will be very useful," he expressed.
"Last week, my dear brother, Sayyed Hasan Nasrollah, sent a delegation which I accepted and they requested that some of the satellite channels which are broadcasted from Qom be controlled. They complained about why these types of programs which cause problems are allowed to be broadcasted from Qom," Hujjat al-Islam Salehimanesh stated.
"The Holy City of Qom is where the knowledge of the Ahlul-Bayt (A) is produced and we must work hard to distribute this knowledge to the people. The inauguration of this studio is an excellent effort and we support the actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) corporation," Hujjat al-Islam Salehimanesh explained.
"The director of IRIB in Qom has worked very hard for this opportunity, to which we are very grateful," he added.
