Rasa News Agency reports - Ayatollah Abdollah Javad-Amoli met with the managers, scholars and teachers of The Holy Quran Islamic Propagation Organization. In reference to a hadith (tradition), he said that servants of the Quran receive an uncountable amount of divine blessings. “The Prophet Muhammad (S) said: ‘when the Quran finds a place in a person’s heart it protects him.’”

Ayatollah Javad-Amoli explained that because man is on earth and has not been to heaven, he cannot fathom the life that awaits him in the hereafter. “Many people do not understand what heaven is, thus they do not know its value. Man must want to gain this knowledge from God,” he said.

He stressed that the Quran should not be a means of earning money and said: “The servants of the Holy Quran should know the great value of their work.”

The great exegist of the Holy Quran and seminary teacher explained that economic strength is achieved through Quranic culture: “cultural work is emphasized in the Holy Quran. Our divine book recommends that we work hard and earn our wage.”

“Unfortunately, we read or listen to the Quran but do not put its lessons into practice,” he said.

Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli said that according to the verses of the Quran, knowing when to resist one of the foundations of resistance: “If a nation wants to revolt than it must be prepared, as the weak don’t have the ability to resist."

He explained that a resistance economy cannot be achieved through a culture of inefficiency and corruption: “if we do not use our God-given resources and use excuses such as ‘because of the economic sanctions we can not import goods from other countries’ and ‘the prices of goods are too expensive,’ then this is not related to the sanctions but our own inefficiency.”

He stressed the need to boost work morale and exertion: “By institutionalizing a culture of hard work, we can become a strong nation because the issue of economics is a pillar of a nation.”

“By abiding by Islamic practices, Iran can be successful in various fields and the sanctions will have no effect,” Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli concluded.
