Rasa News Agency reports – Today, Grand Ayatollah Hosein Nouri-Hamadani met a group of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards of the Islamic Revolution on the anniversary of the establishment of this revolutionary organization. He called the Revolutionary Guards “one of the pillars of the Islamic Revolution” and reaffirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is not in need of nuclear weapons because the Iranian people fully support the Islamic system and this gives it all its power.
“However, it is our right to continue to research nuclear activities, and we will never abuse it! Everyone knows that our intentions are peaceful and not to acquire ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction,” he stated.
His Eminence pointed to the verse of the Holy Quran wherein God says: “Remember when you were few, abased in the land, and feared lest the people should despoil you, and He gave you refuge, and strengthened you with His help, and provided you with all the good things so that you may give thanks.” [8:26]
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani explained that God in the Quran emphasizes the divine blessings of gratitude to God: “One of the greatest blessings of our time, is the Islamic Revolution and thus we to need to understand and pay attention to its great value, effects, and blessings.”
He narrated a tradition from Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (A): “Our [the Infallible Imams] guardianship is the greatest blessing.”
“One of the greatest achievements of our Revolution is the implementation of the divine system of ‘Guardianship of the Jurisprudent [Wilayat al-Faqih].’ In countries such as Bahrain, Afghanistan and Iraq, all the problems and failures faced by the oppressed people are due to the lack of the system of ‘Guardianship of the Jurisprudent’ there. Only under the system of ‘Guardianship of the Jurisprudent’ can the promotion of the cultural and political ideals [of Islam] be accomplished,” His Eminence said.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani stated that reading the life stories and wills of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and from the Imposed War [Iran-Iraq War] is very useful and has an effect on us. “Many books have been compiled and published in this field and each province has its own famous martyrs. It is clear from the writers [the martyrs] of these stories that their success was a result of their training and nourishment gained in the mosques, from the scholars’ speeches on the pulpits, and from attending Friday Prayers,” he stated.
