The ENGLISH section of Rasa News Agency has officially inaugurated

Rasa News Agency today with the presence of Ayatollah Sayed Hashem Husseini Bushahri, Sheikh Muhammad Reza Zairi and the managers of Rasa News Agency today before noon inaugurated the English website of this news agency.

Sheikh Muhammad Mehdi Muhaqiqi, the CEO of Rasa News Agency in the beginning of this ceremony talk about the different activities being done by Rasa News Agency from the beginning of the news agency till now. The CEO of Rasa News Agency mentioned the necessity of creating the English website for Rasa News Agency and emphasized in showing the activities, developments and advancement of the Islamic seminary and the Islamic jurists statements to the world.

He continued in saying that the enemies through media are propagating in the field of culture against the Shia belief and the sacred Islamic regime and said: “Islamic media services are now being active in order to stand against the enemies’ plans and Rasa News Agency too is one of the Islamic media actively standing against the enemy.”

Sheikh Muhaqiqi stated that activities in the international area has been emphasized by the Islamic scholars and said: “Great Islamic scholars have said that the activities and events which are being done in the field of Islamic ethics and culture in the Islamic seminary should be broadcasted properly and for this reason a section in the cultural side by the name of tahzib (refinement) in the Farsi section has been made.”

In another part of this opening ceremony Mr. Kashkoli the director of the international department of Rasa News Agency in a speech gave the reasons why it is necessary to have a English website, informing the global world of the events being held in the Islamic seminaries and stated: “Rasa News Agency which is a Islamic seminary news agency saw it necessary for the English audience to start an English website.”

The director of the international department divided the goals of the English website into two sections; one section being the social and cultural side and the other section being political and international and expressed: “In the cultural and social areas the news of the Islamic scholars and Islamic seminary of Qom and Najaf would be propagated”.

Mr. Kashkoli believes that the English website which is spreading the Islamic and Shia news must also be spreading the Islamic revolution values which is found in the Islamic seminary on its website and stated that one of the other activities of the English website is to place news of the cultural activities of Islamic centers and added: “unfortunately cultural activities which are being organized by Islamic centers in Europe and North America are not being shown to the world which must be dealt with very seriously.”

He also stated that one of the other activities of the English website is to make relations with Islamic sheikhs and Islamic activists in the western world and expressed: “there are many research projects being done in the Islamic seminaries in the European world which unfortunately people are not being informed about.”

Mr. Kashkoli in his speech stated that the goals of the English website in regards to the cultural and social section is to show misguided Islamic sects to the world, answering religious questions of the English world in regards to Islam and express the views and outline of the Supreme Leader as well as defending the Islamic values against the great attacks being done by certain European media outlets towards Islam.

Mr. Kashkoli noted that the main activities in the political section of the English Rasa News Agency website is spreading and informing the values and thoughts of the Late Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic and said: “Rasa News Agency reporters are working hard in order to stand against and resist the global arrogance media and its liberal and secularist ideas.

Also Sheikh Khadem Al Zakarin the deputy director of research and studies of Rasa News Agency; in analyzing the necessity of creating the English website and keeping in mind of the speech of the supreme leader in regards to the soft war with western media outlets said: “the tool which the arrogant powers use is media and we must not be unaware of this.”

It is also important to note that Ayatollah Husseini Bushahri who is the head of the Islamic seminaries in the opening ceremony thanked Rasa News Agency and said: “A new path has opened in Rasa News Agency and has aimed at great horizons and we hope that in the goals outlined they are able to reach them”.
