Rasa News Agency reports - In a press conference held in the international management office of the seminary schools in Qom, Father Bernardo Cervellera, the director of Asia News Agency said: “We must build relations between seminary schools and Vatican.”


Father Bernardo Cervellera who is also a PIME missionary, heads Agenzia Fides, the official news agency of the Vatican.


The PIME missionary also added that “During the post-earthquake crisis in the city of Bam, Vatican sent noticeable aids to the victims of the incident in Iran. This mutual feeling of friendship and goodwill must be revived and fostered between the two sides in future.”


Mentioning his visit to Saudi Arabia, the director of Asia News Agency said: “When we had a meeting with a group of [Wahhabi] mufti’s in Saudi Arabia, they were apparently quite enthusiastic toward building relations with Vatican. However, when we advised them to build church in their country for the Christian residents of Saudi Arabia, they strongly rejected the advice.”

After the Rasa News agency being introduced to the director of Asia News Agency, the two sides announced their encouragement to have mutual cooperation in future.


According to the officials, the director of Asia News Agency will reportedly be in Qom for two days and will attend several meetings and conferences there.
