The Iranian military has unveiled simulators for anti-aircraft Hawk and Skyguard missile systems.Brigadier General Farzad Esmayeeli Commander of Iran’s Khatam ol-Anbia Air Defense Base Brigadier General Farzad Esmayeeli announced the achievement on Tuesday.
The simulators are developed and manufactured by Iranian experts to enable air defense trainees to experience real electronic war conditions.
“We can simulate targets in real-scales and in different classes of missiles, airplanes, helicopters and drones by using these simulators which are completely independent and needless of operating systems,” the Iranian brigadier said.
He added that the version of simulators has been upgraded and is faster and more accurate than the actual systems.
“All training phases of these systems can be seen through closed-circuit cameras and computers by trainer and the trainer can evaluate operators’ reactions,” General Esmayeeli said.
Iran has recently renewed and upgraded the weapons and defense systems of its air defense units.
In recent years, Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and has attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.
Tehran has repeatedly assured other nations that its military might poses no threat to other countries, saying that the Islamic Republic’s defense doctrine is entirely based on deterrence.
