RNA – Ayatollah Mohammad Javad Fazel-Lankarani said: “Scientific, jurisprudential and religious subjects hold a key status in medical and modern science. There are times when abundant crucial inquiries are presented in different branches of science, it must be noted that Shi’a jurisprudence leaves no questions in these areas of science unanswered, therefore, all the present inquiries could be answered within Ja’fari jurisprudence.”

The renowned lecturer in the Islamic Seminary of Qom, held a meeting with managing directors of Qom Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research, during which he said, “One key issue that must be paid attention to is that science is a form of light bestowed upon us by God Almighty, we must know the truth of knowledge is also light by which we could lead humankind to God if we consider and respect religious factors and rules.”

The revered source of emulation then pointed at Islamic guidelines on healthy eating habits and lifestyle and said, “Eating habits and following a correct lifestyle are among the most important Islamic guidelines since they are vital parts of Islamic lifestyle.”

“Once Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq was passing by a cemetery when he told a companion of his, most of these deaths are caused by unhealthy diets and lifestyles,” considering the fact that modern day lifestyles have changed vastly, it becomes clear that paying careful attention to one’s diet and eating habits is of great importance today since present food contain so much fat, sugar and salt in them,” Ayatollah Fazel-Lankarani said.

The revered scholar said: “Doing research plays a crucial role nowadays, but we must not forget this scientific research could be carried out by foundations like Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research in cooperation with religious centers considering Shi’a jurisprudential factors and rules.”

“One must not set aside the impression of current psychological issues as well as other modern lifestyle disorders such as infertility issue in some families,” he added.
