RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a crowd of believers in Qom, Ayatollah Sayyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri stated that Iran’s enemies are not looking for cultural exchange but seek cultural invasion through force, destruction and cultural surrender. “If the enemies succeed in imposing and destroying our culture, cultural submission and destruction will occur by themselves.”
The representative of Bushehr in the Assembly of Experts stressed that: “In a cultural invasion, the ultimate goal is to attain political domination over other countries and the main method to achieve political dominance is through cultural influence.”
Referring to Islamic Republic Day, he said that about 50 days after the victory of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, more than 98.2% of eligible Iranians voted “yes” to the establishment of the “sacred system” of Islamic Republic in the country, which was a “great honour for Iran and the revolution.”
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri referred to the proclamation of the new Iranian year 1395 as year of “The Resistance Economy: Action and Implementation,” saying that the enemies launched a heavy war and sanctions against Iran but Iran found a way out of the economic sanctions imposed by the enemies and moved toward a resistance economy.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said Iran is now considered an important country in terms of oil and gas but is still dependent on oil, adding: “Oil is sometimes sold at $100 a barrel and sometimes reaches as low as $20 and Iran is selling crude oil.”
“Can we base our economy on such oil prices?” he asked, stressing that the ‘resistance economy’ must not be just a slogan, but must be acted on and applied.
“We accepted the nuclear deal but [Mohammad-Javad] Zarif said Iran could not keep all its red lines in the negotiations with the Americans,” he said.
He stated the enemies have imposed sanctions and problems on Iran to force the country to surrender to them but the Supreme Leader said if Iran was to retreat from its positions, it would benefit the US.
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri said if Iran further pursued negotiations with the US, the enemies would have said that the JCPOA was not enough and Iran must also sign other agreements until they would recognize us. “In other words, they want to implement a second and a third JCPOA with Iran,” he stressed.
Qom’s Friday prayer leader said this means that the enemies want Iran to withdraw from its pro-Palestinian revolutionary slogans, they ask: “What meaning does the Quds Force have and what is the principle of the IRGC and why does Iran build missiles?”
His Eminence warned: “They want to turn Iran’s strengths into weaknesses through negotiations. In order to do this, they tell us that our constitution is not acceptable and must be negotiated. The enemies are advancing step by step and seek to achieve their main goal by accepting that the name and outward form of the Islamic Republic of Iran can exist but the Islamic Republic must be emptied of its essential contents.”
