RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Ali Nekounam, Leader's representative in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, noted the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the P5+1, saying together, these six countries applied all their efforts against the Islamic Republic of Iran in order to force it to give concessions [to its nuclear program]. "It was a kind of blackmail,” he said, "but the negotiations began as simply another test for Iran and Iran did not give in to their demands nor was it appeased.

Hujjat al-Islam Nekounam added that the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, also pursued the issue with the people and provided the necessary guidance until the important work was done by the negotiating team, which led to the signing of the JCPOA, which does not allow the enemies to behave in a patronizing manner with Iran any longer.

The cleric also refered to the massive 22 Bahman (February 11th) demonstrations in support of the 37th anniversary of Iran’s Islamic Revolution and the February 26th elections, saying they demonstrated the Iranian people’s “unbreakable bond with the leadership and the system.”

Hujjat al-Islam Nekounam explained that during the last year, Iranians witnessed the enemies’ increased efforts to provoke internal conflicts and polarization in Iran, adding that this year, Ayatollah Khamenei named the year 1395 “The Resistance Economy: Action and Implementation” and added that communal wisdom and the people’s support of the government thwarted all of the enemies’ plots.
