RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah, Ayatollah Sayyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri pointed to the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council’s branding of the Lebanese Islamic resistance group, Hezbollah, as a terrorist organization and stated that this action was crude and ill-considered and that we condemn it, saying: “Hezbollah has made sacrifices for Islam and the Quran and today is at the forefront of the resistance so how can the [P]GCC make such a claim?”
His Eminence addressed the [P]GCC, calling them “terrorists and terrorist-trainers,” adding: “Who, besides you, has destroyed the situation of Syria and Yemen by supporting terrorists? Yet you want to condemn Hezbollah?”
He added that the [P]GCC even asked the Arab League to condemn Hezbollah but the Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Ja’fari stated that Hezbollah as well as the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces have preserved the dignity of the Arab world and those who call them terrorists are the terrorists. This statement led to the Saudi delegation to withdraw from the meeting.
“This action shows that the Islamic and Arab countries stand against the Saudi plots in the region and represents the lack of maturity of the organizations that are tethered to the Zionist regime,” the Iranian said.
“If you ever hear that Benjamin Netanyahu has become the Secretary-General of the Arab League, don’t doubt it,” he added.
