RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mostafa Mousavi-Esfahani, the representative of Hamadan in the Assembly of Experts, referred to the high turnout in Friday’s Parliamentary and fifth Assembly of Experts elections, saying that by participating in the elections, as well as through their participation in the 22nd of Bahman (11 February) rallies, the Iranian people created an epic and this was proof of their adherence to the Islamic system of governance.
He said that the country’s enemies have often sought to propagate a low turnout in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s elections but in practice, the people demonstrated their support of the system of Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurisprudent) in this “great epic.”
Hujjat al-Islam Mousavi-Esfahani noted that the world certainly received the message sent by the Iranian nation that they have not lost their values 37 years after the Islamic Revolution, but also that they have not given up their resistance and struggle against the imperialist powers.
His Eminence said that the claim that the Iranian people have conflicts with the system is false, adding: “Of course, the people have complained over the government and its performance but if there is not some criticism in society a society loses its dynamics, although criticism with destruction are two different things.”
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Mousavi-Esfahani said: “The solidarity and unity of the people in this great test showed that the revolutionary forces in the country are on the path of following the leadership and ideals of the Islamic Revolution and through their participation in the elections, the people put their fist in the mouths of those who speak nonsense.”
