RNA – Speaking during his jurisprudence class at Qom’s Grand Mosque, Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi, praised the high turnout in Friday’s tenth Parliamentary and fifth Assembly of Experts elections.
According to the Interior Ministry, around 60 percent of voters cast ballots in the elections after voting hours were extended five times for a total of six extra hours to allow millions of latecomers to participate.
The revered source of emulation said: “the enemies tried hard to create discord and problems in our country and to cause incidents but through the elections, the Iranian people demonstrated their rational and intellectual development and commitment to Islam."
The source of emulation said that our elections have been held without the least difficulties. This is a sign of spiritual health of our nation and we are thankful for this.
