RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi referred to Friday's Parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections, saying that the importance of the maximum participation of people in the elections, stressing it would give legitimacy to Iran’s Islamic system because it was this same participation that led to the victory of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the continuation of this system has led to religious democracy.
He added that the people have always had the main role in the country’s Islamic system of government and whenever the government is supported by the vast majority of the people, no power, such as the United States, and no hostile groups such as the takfiri terrorist phenomenon, can do anything against it.
The Friday prayer leader of Qom warned that newly-elected representatives must work with government to build the country and at the same time, monitor the activities of the executive branch. If they witness any weakness, they must guide the government back to the correct path using the tools available.
He stated that the Majles has a duty to prepare a roadmap for the government, adding: “The Iranian nation wants a brave and religious Majles which understands the peoples’ needs and which will not be intimidated by the US and will not be deceived by the enemies. The Majles is also obliged to promote an indigenous economy.”
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi said the candidates must not speak in such a way that helps the greedy enemies. They must be vigilant of the enemies’ interference and if the enemies praise them, they should immediately announce their disgust and separate themselves from them.
The Iranian cleric said the Iranian people hate the blatant interference of the enemies, especially the “wily fox,” the United Kingdom, which supports the enemies of the people.
