Iran’s Ayatollah Araki meets top Lebanese cleric

RNA – Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, the Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, has met with Shaykh Ahmad al-Zayn, a senior Lebanese cleric, and explained his views on the activities of Takfiri and extremist groups in the Middle East and the support of the Zionist regime for terrorist groups.

Ayatollah Araki in this meeting also referred to the upcoming Parliamentary and Assembly of Experts’ elections and denounced the efforts of the enemies to divide the Iranian people on the event.

The Lebanese cleric expressed regret that authorities in some Muslim countries maintain direct ties with the Zionist regime of Israel, and said, “Some are trying their best to show the clashes in the world of Islam as result of disagreements between Shi’a and Sunni while these are all political clashes and an outcome of intrigues hatched by enemies of Islam.”
