RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Hasan Malaeki, the head of the Talesh Islamic Development Department told IDO (Islamic Development Organization), “Unity is a vital necessity for the Islamic society, asserting unity and solidarity among Muslims and all pious believers on the earth is counted as the basic teachings of the religion of Islam and one of the true principles of the Quranic culture; the Holy Quran mentions that one of the greatest and the most constructive missions of the great Prophet of Islam has been to make hearts closer and create intimacy and understanding rather than hostility and enmity and if we look at history, we will realize this issue as one of the most significant mission of the Prophet Muhammad.”

He went on to say, “After the demise of the great Prophet of Islam, the infallible Imams tried to preserve unity and solidarity and ignored their own personal rights; and throughout history, peace-making scholars and all true servants of humanity left that which causes discord and division and they also invited others toward unity and understanding.”

This cultural official reminded, “The plan of ‘Unity of Muslim World’ was one of the basic concerns of the late Imam Khomeini and he didn’t neglect this main issue during his social and political life before and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution.”

“The great loyalty of the late Imam Khomeini to Islamic unity not only made him become the most prominent revolutionary character in the Muslim world, but also made him gain a great position among different Islamic sects,” he continued.

The campaign strategy of the late Imam Khomeini to pave the way for unity and solidarity in the Muslim world has been based on two main axes including ‘the intellectual and cultural movement’ and ‘political and practical movement,’” he said.

The late Imam Khomeini considered political training as the basis of the political movement and mentioned that the first duty of people is to consider propagation and education in the path of development and growth,” he specified.
