RNA – Ayatollah Sayyed Yousef Tabatabaeinejad, the Friday prayer leader of Esfahan, stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is the only independent country as it relies on its own power in the world.
The cleric stressed, “The Iranian people had given warm welcome to Imam Ruhollah Khomeini on February 1st, 1979 and their love and respect to their leaders has been recorded in the history.”
According to the cleric, the late founder of Islamic Revolution of Iran was the source and epitome of purity and clean politics.
The Friday prayer leader of Esfahan said, “The late Imam Khomeini took steps on the right path and followed the pattern and lifestyle of the infallible Prophet of Islam and the Imams to this end.”
“The main purpose of Islamic Revolution was to liberate Iran from the domination of enemies and colonialism,” Ayatollah Tabatabaeinejad noted.
The Friday prayer leader of Esfahan concluded, “Currently, the Islamic Republic of Iran is the only independent country in the world.”
Millions of Iranians have taken to the streets in cities and towns across the country to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
The rallies on Thursday marked the victory of the 1979 Revolution, led by late Imam Khomeini, which put an end to the monarchical rule of the US-backed Pahlavi regime.
