RNA – In a meeting with Monsignor Liberio Andreatta, the head of the Vatican Pilgrimage Organization on Wednesday, Grand Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli said that pilgrimage organizations, whether Muslim, Christian or Jewish, which are Abrahamic religions, are moving toward the divine teachings through pilgrimage.
Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli explained when someone makes pilgrimage to the holy places of the prophets and hears the sound of unity and harmony, they have made a pilgrimage. The message of all the prophets is that they have confirmed the truth of the prophets before them and if their followers follow their prophets’ teachings correctly there would be no significant disputes or conflict between them.
He noted that we must support one another but the Takfiri/Salafi ideology, terrorist groups such as ISIL and proxy wars that the arrogant powers and Israel have created are nothing but conspiracies, sedition and deception to promote division.
For his part, Monsignor Andreatta also called for the unity of the Abrahamic faiths, saying: “If we follow the religion of Abraham our father, we have to treat each other with respect. In many of our places of pilgrimage, we have frequently seen our Muslim brothers participating. We must interact with each other based on our religious teachings together because through these means, we can build a civilization based on friendship.”
Monsignor Andreatta is heading a visiting delegation to Iran and noted the country’s tourist attractions, saying that each year millions of Iranian and foreigners visit Iran’s tourist destinations which contain religious, ethical, spiritual and cultural aspects.
