RNA – Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, a leading source of emulation in the Iraqi holy city of Najaf, has met with a group of visiting Yemeni Muslim scholars, including adherents of the Zaydi Shi’a sect and the Shafi’i Sunni school of thought.

Ayatollah al-Najafi said, “The Ahlul-Bayt, the pure household of Prophet Muhammad, were luminaries whose status cannot be negated by any Muslim; hence, what is stated on the pulpits of Takfiri clerics is, in reality, the propaganda of the arrogant powers and Zionists who aim to create dissension and divide Muslims.”
The cleric also expressed regret over Saudi Arabia support of the Takfiri ideology and also for its crimes against the people Yemen and Syria.
Ayatollah al-Najafi urged Muslims to unite and stressed that the Shi’a sources of emulation are constantly ready to serve and support all Muslim nations from all Islamic denominations.
