RNA – Shaykh Na’im Qassem, the Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah emphasized the significance of al-Aqsa Mosque in an interview with the Centre for Supervision of Mosques Affairs, saying: “The first qiblah of Islam is full of virtue and its tens of centuries of antiquity shows the significance of this mosque.”
He pointed to the crimes of Zionist regime of Israel, saying: “al-Aqsa is one of the holiest Islamic sites and many scholars recognize it as the third holy Islamic site after the Ka’bah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.”
Shaykh Na’im Qassem stated that the destruction of al-Aqsa is the final goal of Israel and asserted: “The aim of the creation of Israel was to destroy our beliefs, values and all political regimes of the Middle East.”
He called on all Muslims to be committed to resolve the issue of al-Aqsa as the first qiblah of Muslims and said: “We, the soldiers of Hezbollah aim to fight against Israel until the liberation of the occupied lands by the destruction of Israel. We invite all Islamic movements and Muslims to join us in this holy war.”
“al-Aqsa is not just owned by Arabs but this the common cause of all Muslims,” Shaykh Na’im Qassem asserted.
