RNA – Speaking at a conference at Qom’s Dar al-Shifa Madrassah, Kamran Ghazanfari, a researcher of political issues, referred to several critical issues surrounding the recently implemented Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and said that through several letters, the Supreme Leader has explained 28 provisions that, in his opinion, must be implemented and these formed the basis of Iran’s negotiations with the P5+1 on which the JCPOA was signed.
“[Ayatollah Khamenei] said that the final agreement has many ambiguous points and several structural weaknesses and that, in the absence of caution, this could lead to significant damages in the present and future of the country at any moment,” he warned.
Ghazanfari pointed out that Americans are after three goals in the short-, medium- and long-terms in regard to the JCPOA, and explained that their short-term goals in holding the 20-month-long negotiations were the destruction of Iran’s nuclear industry.
“Based on the commitments that we accepted by signing the JCPOA, we have shut down some of our nuclear industries, including the Arak heavy water reactor, which was filled with concrete and the reactor core was completely destroyed,” he lamented.
He also expressed concern that Iran will not be as active in the obtainment of nuclear technology as it was previously and that IAEA inspectors are spies for American, British and Israeli intelligence agencies.
The political scientist said that the US’ medium-term goal is to contain the Islamic Republic within Iran in order to control it, and like Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region, they don’t want Iran to support the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon or Yemen and other regional countries and they believe that they can do this through the JCPOA.
Ghazanfari said that the Americans third and long-term goal is to change the nature of the Islamic Republic – in other words, to subvert and overthrow the Islamic system in the country and replace it with a puppet regime which is loyal to the US.
