RNA – Speaking to the media, Ayatollah Mortaza Moqtadaei stated that the “beautiful” words of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, along with the resistance of the Iranian people against the unfair sanctions led to the removal of some of the sanctions and the retreat of the enemies, adding: “We achieved remarkable success in the nuclear negotiations due to the effects of the people’s resistance, patience and their reliance on strong logic against the enemies and we should be grateful for it.”
The vice-president of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said some politicians couldn’t believe that Iran was capable of successfully standing up to the powerful superpowers of the world through diplomacy and defending its rights.
He added that in regard to this, we must acknowledge the wise measures and guidance of the Supreme Leader, adding that in the light of national unity and consciousness, Iran’s diplomatic team was able to achieve success. The Leader has stated that the enemies are not reliable, especially the Americans, who have imposed sanctions on Iran’s missile program despite signing the JCPOA.
Ayatollah Moqtadaei said that in this respect, we must maintain our vigilance in the face of the enemies’ ploys, adding that this is very necessary that no one should neglect it.
His Eminence said that just as Ayatollah Khamenei stated in response to President Hassan Rouhani’s letter, that solving the country’s economic problems requires serious attention to the resistance economy, politicians must understand that the source of all the problems facing Iran wasn’t due to the sanctions, although sanctions had an effect, but since there are other problems, naturally, removing the sanctions alone is not enough.
Ayatollah Moqtadaei said the only way to achieve economic success and improve the people’s living conditions is to pay attention to the principles of resistance, saying “We must continue on this path with strength and it can be achieved through strengthening our internal abilities.”
He stressed the importance of national production as a way to strengthen the economy and emphasized the importance of domestic consumption, saying it has already contributed to the strengthening of the economy and thus, it can create more jobs and eliminate unemployment in the country.
In conclusion, Ayatollah Moqtadaei said that with the implementation of the JCPOA, most sanctions have been removed although Iran also gave concessions to the other side. However, a better deal is not possible at this point and we must thank our nuclear negotiating team for fully complying with the guidelines of the Supreme Leader and for the support of the people and the Leader throughout the negotiation process.
