Rasa – Ayatollah Arafi condemned the attacks on the Saudi embassy in Tehran and consulate in Mashhad, saying "the Islamic Republic has always been based on logic. The Saudis know that they live in glass houses and that the ground on which they stand is very weak.
Ayatollah Arafi

RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi referred to Iran’s upcoming February parliamentary elections as well as the 22 Bahman celebrations, which mark the anniversary of 1979 Islamic Revolution, saying that these two events are important tests and the people have important obligations toward them.

The head of al-Mustafa International University explained that the people’s hope and readiness to participate in the elections is very important and the 22 Bahman events must provide a great lesson to enemies so that they realize that the Iranian people stand firm upon their agreements and aspirations as well on the ideology of the late Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.

In another part of his Friday prayer sermon, he appreciated the diplomatic efforts of Iranian officials in the regard to the JCPOA, warning that officials must be vigilant and not allow the enemies to violate their commitments to the agreement.

His Eminence noted Iran must also be vigilant over the enemies’ influence, any changes in the discourse of the Islamic Revolution and the role of the Islamic Resistance in the retreat of the enemies of the Revolution.

Ayatollah Arafi said: "we must also strengthen our defense and missile capabilities. Iran must also be present in the international arena, in the fight against terrorism and support the Resistance Axis."

The revered scholar also said: "The Islamic Republic has always been based on logic. The Saudis know that they live in glass houses and that the ground on which they stand is very weak."
