RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi praised President Hassan Rouhani’s position on increasing Iran’s missile capabilities after reports that the US administration planned new sanctions on the country despite having agreed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, saying that the world knows that Iran has shown reason and patience over the JCPOA and will not give any significant concessions and will continue to increase its missile and defense capabilities.
"US cannot force Iran to retreat and cannot stop the movement of the Islamic Revolution," he added.
Muslim world in dire need of unity
In regard to this weeks’ Islamic Unity Week, Ayatollah Arafi stressed that that the Muslim world is in dire need of unity and added that in the current era, the discourse of the Islamic Revolution, which is based on religious dialogue and originates from the Islamic Seminary of Qom, promotes the cause of defending the Muslim world against the global arrogance and their false Islamic discourse which is based on divisiveness, sectarian conflict and protecting the Zionist entity. He added that the discourse of the Islamic Revolution will defeat this discourse.
His Eminence stated that the United States is the main architect behind Israel and their support is accomplished through the House of Saud, which has established a “ridiculous” military coalition against terrorism and added that this anti-terrorism coalition, which has been formed by the “leader of terrorism,” is ironic because the world is aware that the Saudis are lying and is aware of its actions.
In other remarks, Ayatollah Arafi referred to the 9th of Dey, 1388 (December 30, 2009) protests, which marked the end of the 2009 post-election sedition, saying that the events of this day were a judgement of the faith of the Iranian people against the foreign-backed sedition and conspiracies which deceived many people.

“The 9th of Dey is a great day because the entire Iranian nation came to the defense of Islam and this day must be cherished,” he said.
The professor in the Islamic Seminary of Qom added that with the great help and support of people, Iran's supreme leader prevented the enemies from achieving their goals.
“The Iranian nation will continue on its path and will not retreat from the ideals of the revolution in any way,” he stressed.
