RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large crowd of believers in the Iraqi city of Karbala, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ahmad al-Safi stressed upon the need to retake all the territories occupied by ISIL Takfiri terrorists and said the government and people of Iraq should immediately eliminate these terrorists from the country, rebuild that which has been destroyed, and help the refugees return to their homes.
The representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani added: “All praise be to God, over the past few months, tribal fighters, the Popular Mobilization Forces and Iraqi government forces have been able to liberate many areas that had been occupied by ISIL.”
His Eminence said Iraqi war heroes are currently striving hard to liberate the western city of Ramadi and are facing a ruthless enemy that doesn’t even follow the lowest ethical principles.
Hujjat al-Islam Safi called for political support for the country’s security forces, saying that ISIL hasn’t allowed civilian families to leave Ramadi and have used them as human shields. This situation has made the liberation of the city by Iraqi forces difficult. “We recommend to the armed forces that they take all actions necessary to liberate the people from the claws of the ISIL,” he stressed.
