RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah, Ayatollah Sayyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri referred to the tragic events in Nigeria saying the killing was a calculated move by the enemies.

 

On December 13, the West African country’s army raided the house of Sheikh Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, and arrested him after reportedly killing the individuals attempting to protect him. The army also massacred hundreds of innocent Shi’as in the city of Zaria.

 

Qom’s Friday prayer leader said after the Zaria attack, some leaders of countries who claim to be Islamic contacted Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and congratulated him on the killings, considering thhe incident as part of the fight against terrorism.

 

“This culture of injustice is dominant in the world,” he said, “Shi’as, who had just finished mourning during the month of Safar and had just begun the joyous month of Rabi’ al-Awwal, were ruthlessly killed without having committed any crime.”

The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom stated that if a terrorist act occurs in the West, they sing it to the high heavens but when the terrorist attacks are launched against Muslims and Shi’as, they are silent.

 

PMD case closed after decades of slander by enemies

 

He also said that the IAEA’s closure of Iran’s possible military dimensions (PMD) case comes after more than a decade of slander by the enemies who have claimed that Iran is seeking nuclear weapons and this represents a “success” for the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri pointed out that the IAEA has also announced that all of the 12 resolutions issued against Iran have been officially nullified. “We hope that the nullification of these resolutions provides appropriate ground that Iran will not suffer from these oppressive any longer,” he said.

 

Takfirism created to sow discord among Muslims

 

His Eminence referred to the beginning of Islamic Unity Week, a week-long celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary, and stressed that many groups with different titles have been created to create division in the Islamic world and that in addition to sowing discord between Muslims, the enemies have created [Takfiri] terrorist groups in an attempt to propagate a hatred for Islam and Islamophobia throughout the world. 

 

 

“Unfortunately, some people, either knowingly or out of ignorance, have fallen into the trap of the enemies and have moved in the direction of their demands,” he said.
