RNA – Speaking at a conference for new women seminarians in Zanjan, Hujjat al-Islam Mahmoud-Reza Jamshidi, the director of women’s seminaries across Iran, referred to the obscene actions and movements made by Takfiri terrorists over the past several years, adding that such groups are a disgrace to the Islamic world.

“A group of people have appeared on the world stage by using the name of Islam but display a detestable face to the world and engage in disgraceful actions,” he said.

His Eminence said that some Takfiri infantry groups are made up of young women, who have the ability to be active in various fields but their power and strength is being used in the wrong direction. He added that the majority of these women have been attracted to Takfiri organizations through the use of online propaganda and through social media.

He stated that if the efforts to propagate Islam through the internet are accomplished with the help of [trained] missionaries, especially female seminarians, it will have good results and will prevent the Takfiris from achieving their goals and it will also result in women becoming more familiar with issues of the day.

In another part of his remarks, Hujjat al-Islam Jamshidi condemned last Sunday’s massacre by the Nigerian military against peaceful Shi’a Muslim worshippers in Zaria and the arrest of their spiritual leader, Shaykh Ibrahim al-Zakzaky, saying: “Hopefully, this prominent Shi’a cleric will soon be released from the captivity by extremist and radical individuals. The Nigerian government must act on this issue as soon as possible.”

He added that Shaykh Zakzaky studied in the Islamic Seminary of Qom and after the completion of his studies in the Iranian holy city, he returned to Nigeria and in the past 20 years since he returned, more than 12 million Shi’a Muslims have been educated in the West African country, which is predominantly Christian and Sunni Muslim.
