RNA - In a statement the IGC said, 'Tragic incidents in Nigeria and brutal attacks on Muslims by an armed group in Arbaeen ceremonies as well as assault on house of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky and massacre of a number of Muslims have caused deep sorrow.

The Takfiri groups affiliated to regional reactionary regimes and the global arrogance and the Zionist regime were behind such attacks, that were unfortunately similar to the events taking place on the international Quds Day ceremonies last year.'

While extending condolence to Muslims in Nigeria and other parts of the world on the incident, the statement asked international institutions and the so-called advocates of human rights as well as country's diplomatic organ to abide by their duties and guarantee safety of citizens, especially Muslim leaders, taking necessary measures to punish culprits behind such a big crime.
