RNA – Speaking with MuslimTV, Ayatollah Dr. Reza Ramezani-Gilani, the Friday prayers’ leader and the imam of the Islamic Centre of German city of Hamburg, noted that in the wake of the terrorist attacks which occurred in Paris, the people have witnessed the actions and organization of Takfiri terrorist groups in Europe who have created widespread insecurity and concern. Despite European intelligence and security agencies being aware of such extremist groups and watching them closely, they have still been active.

In regard to the letter written by the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, to the youth of Europe and North America, the German Shi’ite scholar said that in the current era, many young people unconsciously witness the events occurring and questions arise in their minds and also, they are looking for honest and clear answers have realized that it’s time to get away from the uproar caused by the media.

“Thus, the foundation has been prepared for them to hear the truth although there are some media sources which attempt to hide the truth through censorship or boycotting the truth and through spreading imprecise and inaccurate facts,” he said.

Ayatollah Ramezani said that given the events which have occurred lately, plus a fear of the future due to the spread of terrorism and organized criminal and extremist groups, there has been a lot of concern among the European people, especially among the youth.

“Of course, they are right to worry because every day they hear of so many terrorist threats. For example, in the last few days schools have been closed in the city of Hamburg, which is one of the safest cities in Europe, and a football game in Hanover was cancelled due to terrorist threats. Worse than these [events], innocent people were recently shot [in California],” the Iranian scholar said.

He added that there is even a feeling that that Western-born Takfiri terrorists will return to Europe after fighting for ISIL in Iraq and Syria and will add to the scope of terrorist crimes.

His Eminence added that given the general conditions of the world and of the youth, they are curious and searching for the truth behind that which the media says, that which they see occurring in the world and the causes and effects of these events occurring in the world.

Ayatollah Ramezani explained that naturally, given the circumstances, the ground has been laid to prepare the spirits and minds of the youth, because they’re waiting for a satisfying and reasonable analysis of the events occurring and also a remedy for the future. However, the mass media has not offered a correct analysis or provided a comprehensive solution and most of their content is purely emotional, old and empty of any new ideas.

“So, the answer to the question ‘Are the new Western youth inclined to receive [Ayatollah Khamenei’s] letter?’ is positive because by studying this letter, the youth of the West can clearly understand the roots and causes of many issues facing them,” he said.
