RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Mohsen Heydari, a member of the Assembly of Experts, referred to the recent warning by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, in regard to the enemies’ project to infiltrate Iran and his emphasis on the necessity of believing that the enemies are plotting against Iran.
“One of the factors that has led some to disbelieve in the apparent conspiracies of the enemies and to ridicule them, is their naivety,” the Iranian politician and cleric stated.
His Eminence said such individuals are so easily deceived and have doubts over the truth of this issue and unfortunately, don’t take the enemies’ [threats] seriously and some are intellectually impaired and don’t consider countries such as the United States, Israel and the West as their enemies.
The Friday prayer leader of Ahvaz said that such people believe that Iran has created problems for itself and the west has nothing to do with the problems facing the country.
“Such groups have been ‘Westoxified’ and are intellectually dependent on the West, although they live in Iran,” he said.
Ayatollah Heydari added that another group are mercenaries who have sold themselves to the enemies and are thus considered as the enemies’ spies. The enemy has infiltrated such groups and for this reason, they ridicule any mention of the enemies’ infiltration and beautify the enemies until the people are deceived by their claims.
He stated that unfortunately, those who have sold themselves have knowingly and purposely embellished the enemies and try to portray the issue of the enemies’ infiltration as an illusion. This is not due to the naivety of such groups but rather, their actions emanate from the fact that they have sold themselves off and due to the infiltration of the enemy.
The representative of Khuzestan in the Assembly of Experts said those who have been ‘Westoxified’ have deviated ideologically and they know the West very well but the third group do not know the West well but due to their desires, they have sold themselves to receive benefits and funds.
Ayatollah Heydari explained that the enemies seek to discredit Iran’s Basij militia, adding that the Basij and [Iranian] Hezbollahis are insightful, vigilant and intellectual, in contrast to the West, and they steadfastly resist the infiltration of the enemies into the country.
The senior politician added that those who accept the infiltration of the enemies or those who do not consider the Western powers as their enemies as well as those who sneer at the enemies’ influence in Iran do so because they consider the Basij as preventing them from doing what they want and thus, try to undermine these forces with taunts and slurs.
Ayatollah Heydari that some, by using the excuse of moderation, seek to abolish the Basij and revolutionary groups, saying that they are extremists and radicals.
