Iranian MP:
Rasa – "In regard to the current situation in Syria, the terrorist attacks in Paris could be another pretext for the presence of Western countries in the Middle East," Tehran’s representative in the Iranian parliament told Rasa News.
Alireza Zakani:

RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Alireza Zakani, the representative of Tehran in the Iranian parliament, referred to the West’s double standards and hidden motives behind in regard to the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, saying the West has tried to create sectarian war, violence and suffering throughout the Middle East. They also seek to present an ugly and vicious face of Islam and Islamic countries. “They’ve sown the wind, and now they’re reaping the whirlwind,” he said.

He said the return of foreign terrorist elements to the Western countries which created the Takfiri terrorist phenomenon will lead to the occurrence of the same terrorism there that they have wished upon the Islamic world.

Zakani said Ayatollah Khamenei had accurately predicted the eventual return of the terrorists to their home countries and their engagement in acts of terrorism there, adding that this has now occurred.

“I believe that the problems that the West has created have increased and they’ve been overwhelmed by what they’ve created,” he said.

The Iranian politician said that on the other hand, the West should reflect on circumstances in Syria so they don’t become entangled by the incidents which occurred in Paris and later use the events to their advantage as a pretext to increase their presence in the region.

He noted that after terrorist attacks in Paris, the involvement of Western intelligence organizations and their agents has been made obvious, just as the CIA was obviously involved in the events of September 11. In the future, it will become obvious what really happened in Paris and how they will control the outcome of these events in order to exploit it in their foreign policy.

In conclusion, Zakani said that events in Paris are a lesson for France and other European countries to reconsider their approach in regard to their incorrect behaviour toward Islamic countries.
