RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Hamid-Reza Mohammadian, the head of the Namibia Islamic Centre and Quba Mosque Foundation in this southwestern African country’s capital of Windhoek, described the centre’s program to combat anti-Islamic propaganda after last Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris, France.
He pointed to his participation in several live television programs in the mostly Christian country, saying that during these programs, he stressed on the peaceful nature of the religion of Islam and of Muslims and explained the differences between pure Islam and terrorist groups.
In response to a question about the terrorist attacks in Paris which killed over 130 people, he stated that the Zionist regime seeks to secure its aims. “As far as we know, just as in the September 11 attacks, none of the victims were Jewish,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Mohammadian explained that the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group is a tool of the Western superpowers, especially Israel, which this regime seeks as part of a plan to prevent the growth of Islam in Western and Christian countries. Thus, they need to present a violent face of Islam to provoke the hatred of Islam among non-Muslims. ISIL, with its acts of murder and pillaging, provides this opportunity.
The head of the Namibia Islamic Centre said that because there are no competent scholars among the Muslim populations in some parts of the world, the people are not knowledgeable about the school of the Ahlul-Bayt and many Muslims have suffered great distress and confusion.
The Iranian scholar added that many of those who join these deviant Takfiri groups do so because of their lack of attention to Islam law and a correct analysis of the Quran and hadiths in regard to the issues of the modern age and thus, they become deviated.
Hujjat al-Islam Mohammadian said that among European countries, France has the largest population of Muslims and with civil law in Europe, Muslim citizens are considered official citizens. “As a result, Western countries have concluded that the spread of propaganda against Islam and Islamophobia would not be in their best interest, and they should cooperate with the various groups and classes in their society in order to fight extremism and terrorism,” he said.
In conclusion, His Eminence stressed that this issue and the enlightenment which has been created among the people of the world can then lead to excellence and honour for pure Islam, which is what the Shi’a school of thought is, and will lead Wahhabism and its supporters toward collapse and destruction.
