RNA – Speaking during his advanced jurisprudence class at Qom’s Grand Mosque, Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani stressed the importance of having a profound understanding of the religion of Islam and the Holy Quran, and stressed that the Quran should be a guide for human beings, but said that unfortunately, due to the efforts of the arrogant powers, it is often only read at funerals and memorial services without paying attention to its meaning.
“Today, many of the puppets of the arrogant world powers, publish beautiful copies of the Quran and distribute them worldwide, but the fact that they don’t act by the terms, themes and teachings of this divine book is not anything new,” he said.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani emphasized that Muslims should be strong enough that the arrogant powers cannot intimidate them and added that the Quran does not allow Muslims accept intimidation and domination.
He stated that jihad is a Quranic principle and the “honour of Muslims” and added: “If the Muslim community wants power and greatness, they must always keep the culture of jihad and martyrdom alive.”
In another part of his speech, His Eminence referred to various aspects of the movement of the late founder of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Imam Ruhollah Khomeini, saying: “Fifty Eastern and Western politicians and intellectuals have studied the uprising and movement of Imam Khomeini and written a book in regard to this and they have all admitted that his movement was a manifestation of his familiarity with the Holy Quran.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said every movement made by Imam Khomeini was driven by the Quran.
“His familiarity with the Quran was astounding,” he said.
He pointed out that in the current era, the enemies are fighting a “soft war” against genuine Islam and genuine Islamic revolutions, adding that in a “hard war” military hardware, missiles and planes and tanks are used, but in a soft war insight and vigilance is required.
The renowned source of emulation stated that the scholars of Islam are the border guards of the religion and added that the enemies are targeting Islamic culture.
“The scholars recognize the boundaries and do not allow the enemies to influence the politics, culture and economy of the Muslim community,” he said.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani referred to explicit warnings about the influence of the enemies from Iran's Supreme Leader and emphasized: “We should recognize the influence of the enemy as they have sought to ambush us since the Islamic Awakening began.
In conclusion, His Eminence said one of the most important issues facing Iran today is the influence of the enemy and added: “We must prevent their sinister plans from being implemented and enforced in this country because if the enemies are victorious, there will be a heavy cost for us.”
