RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Sayyed Hamid Jazayeri, the director of the Department of Quranic Sciences at Qom’s al-Mustafa International University, referred to the enemies’ “new project” to interfere in Iran after the sanctions against the country are lifted, saying that historically, when the enemies of Islam imposed a military and economic siege, they would not launch an attack against Islam as that would strengthen the faith of Muslims.
“A plan to attack Iranian culture, influence its society and reduce the people’s sensitivity to religious values is under way. Unfortunately, this attack been successful among certain generations,” he added.
He explained that fortunately, the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran have been defeated in the economic and military arenas due to the sacrifices of the country’s martyrs, the struggle of the late Imam Ruhollah Khomeini, the wise measures taken by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei) and the enlightened positions taken by the clergy.
Hujjat al-Islam Jazayeri said that given these defeats, the enemies, especially the Great Satan – the United States – are naturally striving to destroy Iranian society from within by creating factors to weaken the intellectual and religious foundations of the people, especially the younger generation.
His Eminence noted that by insulting the Prophet Muhammad, questioning our sacred, religious and revolutionary values and sometimes through the use of nudity and negative insinuations, the enemies are attempting to reduce our sacred and religious sensitivities.
The faculty member of al-Mustafa International University said that the most important impact of the enemies’ cultural influence is their attempts to reduce society’s sensitivity towards sin. “In Islam, preventing the spread of sins is one of the strongest recommendations as it is part of the doctrine of ‘enjoining the good and forbidding the wrong.’”
Hujjat al-Islam Jazayeri said that it is the duty of officials to strive to offer correct explanations of religious values, to prevent society from deviation due to legal conflicts and to seriously confront the problems facing society, including the issue of poor hijab and corruption.
