RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Dr. Mohammad-Sadegh Koushki, a professor of political science at the University of Tehran, referred to November 4th which marks the 36th anniversary of the capture of the American embassy in Tehran, which is considered a “national day of struggle against the United States” in Iran, saying: “Perhaps the most main reason for the importance of November 4th is that American agents in Iran seek to reduce the significance of this day.”
The political analyst said that since the post-election unrest in 2009, “seditionists” have been trying to reduce the significance of the takeover of the infamous “Den of Spies” through the use of inflammatory slogans.
He stressed that the sensitivity of the US and its agents in Iran over the struggle against imperialism indicates the importance of this day and shows that they want to eliminate the remembrance of this historical day.
“If there isn’t any reason to celebrate this day with more vigour and strength, the fact that it causes sensitivity among the arrogant powers and its domestic puppets alone suffices as a reason for celebrating it,” he said.
The faculty member of the University of Tehran added that the American agents’ thoughts are held captive by the US.
“Now, with the excuse of the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), they want to normalize relations with the US and are planning and working toward the acceptance of American domination of Iran,” he stated.
He referred to the movement to cleanse and beautify the image of the US in Iranian academic centres and said that with the excuse of the JCPOA, meetings have been held at various universities where some individuals with managerial positions who have become slaves and servants of American thought and Western civilization have defended the enemies.
He explained that through using the treasury, “Westoxified” individuals at Iranian universities seek to brainwash the minds of a large number of students, especially graduate students, so that they can be practical and paid servants of the US.
The faculty member of the University of Tehran said that the enemies seek to penetrate different organizations but have realized that they can gain the most influence in universities, especially among graduate students.
Dr. Koushki said that many of those who paved the way for the enemies’ influence in Iranian academic centres and universities state that the only way to save Iran is through relations with the US. Through neglect by certain administrators in the Ministry of Science, many teaching and research positions in universities have been taken over by such individuals.
