RNA – Speaking to Rasa News, Hujjat al-Islam Aboutorabifard, the First Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, referred the Saudi Interior Ministry’s upholding of its death sentence on Ayatollah Nimr Baqir al-Nimr saying that any insult to this “distinguished cleric who is respected by Muslims and Shi’ites throughout the world,” will have severe consequences for Saudi Arabia.
The representative of Tehran in the Iranian parliament said any attempt to pressure the followers of the Ahlul-Bayt in Saudi Arabia will lead to increased pressures on the House of Saud because there are a significant and large community of Shi’ites in the Wahhabi-ruled kingdom.
Hujjat al-Islam Aboutorabifard said if the rulers of Saudi Arabia want reduce the challenges to their rule, they respect their citizen’s human rights.
He also referred to the tragic stampede in Mina saying: “Today, the rulers of Saudi Arabia, who are [already] facing serious challenges in the political, security and economic management arenas, have proved their poor management to the entire world and to all Muslims during this years’ Hajj pilgrimage.”
His Eminence stressed that Saudi Arabia has experienced numerous failure in regional countries, including Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, saying: “Also, their latest aggression against the Islamic country of Yemen, where they have killed children, women and innocent men, has been added to the [already black] record of the House of Saud.”
In regard to the invitation of Iran to Friday’s international negotiations in Vienna which were aimed at resolving the crisis in Syria, Hujjat al-Islam Aboutorabifard said that Iran’s trans-regional role in bringing security and stability to the Middle East is a matter that politicians and commentators have acknowledged.
The Iranian religious scholar and politician stressed that all countries in the region have acknowledged Iran’s decisive role in fighting Takfiri terrorists and thwarting their plots in the region and stressed that because the Islamic Republic of Iran has played a major role in providing security to the oppressed people of Syria and containing the Takfiri terrorist phenomenon which is supported by the West, it was invited to attend this meeting in Vienna.
“They know that without the presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran, they will not be able to find any reasonable solution,” Hujjat al-Islam Aboutorabifard said.
