RNA – "Islam is a set of principles. If taken together they result in securing the dignity of the religion," Grand Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said today, in a meeting with a group of Sunni scholars from India and Mauritania.
Referring to the first of these effective principles, faith and conviction, the revered source of emulation explained that in the Quran, God states that if the believers’ faith is firm, they will not face weakness and problems and the Islamic community will become the greatest of the communities of the world: “Do not weaken or grieve: you shall have the upper hand, should you be faithful” [3:139].
His Eminence added that strengthening the believers’ faith, beliefs and love of God was the objective of all the divine messengers in order that the Islamic community can have a significant and effective role in the community by having faith.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani stated that the second principle is that Muslims should be powerful in all areas – including in the cultural, political, security and economics arenas – because the enemies will not imagine attacking them nor will they be defeated.
US, Turkey, Saudi Arabia gathered in Vienna to solve crisis they themsleves created
Referring to yesterdays’ international conference on Syria in the Austrian capital Vienna, he said that several countries, including the United States, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have gathered together to solve the crisis in that country that they have created themselves.
“If Muslims do not have power, how can they stand against their enemies who are all working against Islam?” he said.
The renowned teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom stressed that unity and solidarity among Muslims is the most important principle of all the principles of Islam, adding that in the Quran and narrations, unity is stressed in regard to all issues and on the other hand, disputes and the breaking of relations between Muslims is the biggest blow to Islam as it can cause harm to the religion.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said the main aim of our enemies is to create dissension among Muslims and they have created and strengthened Takfiri terrorist groups in order to implement their goals.
“If the Islamic community throughout the world works together as brothers, they can make good progress [against the enemies],” he said.
He said that identifying the enemies and their plans is another key principle of Islam, and added that the Quran introduces three groups as the main enemies of the Islamic nation – the infidels, the hypocrites and the Jews. The Quran also calls on Muslims not to neglect these three groups and to never become dominated by them.
“Thus, we must be very vigilant, especially in today’s world where the words of the US and Israel are loudly heard and the voices of those killed Yemen, Palestine, Iraq and Syria are not,” he said.
