RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Ali Nekounam, the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in the southwestern province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari said despite all the enemie’ attempts, they have not been able separate Imam Husayn and his companions from their followers, lovers and his Shi’as.
“Not only have they failed to separate them but they are attracted more people towards the school [of the Ahlul-Bayt] and their motivation increases every day,” he said.
His Eminence explained the distinction between heartfelt faith and belief in the path of truth, saying that in the current era, resistance against the arrogant powers requires heartfelt faith and the people must realize this truth with all their ability.
Nekounam emphasized that the Islamic Revolution emanates from the uprising of Imam Husayn and said: “We believe that the Islamic Revolution originates from the path of the uprising of Ashura where Yazid and ‘Umar ibn Sa’ad, the enemies of Imam Husayn, stood against him in an attempt to divert Islam from its original path, but by the grace of God, they weren’t been able to,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Nekounam said that the enemy tries to use all possible means to undermine the Iranian Islamic system and uses the false pretexts of human rights, democracy and slogans of this kind to drive a wedge between the people and Islamic doctrines.
“The enemies want to introduce Iranians and Muslims as violent people and in contrast, seek to show themselves as the friends of mankind in order to propagate Islamophobia in society,” he said.
He referred to the conditions considered by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the recently-concluded negotiations with the P5+1, explaining that if Iran’s wise leader gave permission to negotiate with the enemy, these negotiations are exactly the same kind of negotiations that Imam Husayn had with ‘Umar ibn Sa’ad.
Hujjat al-Islam Nekounam said that Ayatollah Khamenei’s aim in allowing the negotiations to proceed was to defend Iran’s Islamic and human values, to describe them to the world and to show that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons.
The chairman of the General Cultural Council of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province stated that the Iranian negotiating team has a duty to show the world the truth of Islam, and added that this comes from the school of Imam Husayn.
He said that on the day of Ashura, Imam Husayn fought against arrogance and added that fighting against imperialism is our duty and it does not mean that we are a people of war, but rather this means that the enemies have prepared themselves for war against us and in this case, it is necessary to defend ourselves.
