RNA – Speaking at a conference on the Takfiri phenomenon at Qom’s al-Mustafa International University, Hujjat al-Islam Ali-Akbar Nateq-Nouri referred to Ashura and said that in his will, Imam Husayn wrote that his uprising was aimed at reviving the concept of enjoining good and forbidding and reforming Islam from deviation and added that the message of Ashura has been feared by all the tyrants of the world throughout history, including the former Shah of Iran, the United States and the Zionist entity.
The head of the Special Inspection Office of Iran’s Supreme Leader stated that the roots of [modern] deviation in Islam are due to the activities of terrorist groups, including the Takfiri terrorist group, ISIL, which is linked to Christian Zionism.
His Eminence spoke of the beliefs of Christian Zionism, saying that it is a political movement headed by the arrogant powers which combines the Christian religion with the extremist ideology of Zionism.
Christians who subscribe to this ideology consider themselves as a “chosen people,” as do the Jews, and seek to dominate and control the world. Through their extremist actions, they seek to provide a platform for the global governance of Jesus Christ after his second coming and to usher in the end times.
Hujjat al-Islam Nateq-Nouri explained that one of the main goals of these Zionists is to ultimately destroy Islam and Muslims, adding that the 9/11 attacks were planned by the Zionists to provoke a “new crusade” led by Christians against Muslims in order to attack “several targets with a single shot,” adding that their most important target is the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“Immediately after the attacks, the United States put the blame on Muslims and began arresting some of them under various pretexts, and jailed them in military prisons, including the Guantanamo Bay detention camp where many were tortured,” he stressed.
The Iranian scholar noted that after the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution and the collapse of communism, there has been an increased growth of the publication of Islamic material and the arrogant powers see this as an affront to their interests in the Islamic world because they know that Iran has the ability to export its glorious Islamic Revolution to other countries, a dangerous prospect for them.
He added that the Zionists have become aware of the danger of Shi’ite Muslims and their religious authorities, and for this reason, they seek to prevent Iran’s efforts to spread religious knowledge and have engaged in numerous actions to undermine the aspirations of the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“The global arrogance aims to support and empower Takfiri groups and seeks to deceive those fighting them in order to present a violent and extremist image of Islam to the world,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Nateq-Nouri explained that the enemies seek to sow discord and conflict among Sunni and Shi’ite Muslims, and said that the arrogant powers created and supported the Taliban in Afghanistan to confront the Islamic system, but were negligent over establishing a single leadership for this group and for this reason, al-Qaeda was established out of this group and al-Qaeda and the al-Nusrah Front established ISIL.
The adviser to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that the arrogant countries have not dealt seriously with ISIL and added that the arrogant powers use Islamophobia to further their imperialistic agenda and in this regard, they seek to introduce ISIL and other Takfiri groups as [true] followers of Islam.
In conclusion, he explained that seminary students should have a thorough understanding of regional and international issues and should research and analyze trends in the Islamic world, as well as in non-Islamic countries and explain them to the people.
